FOGGO DENTAL PRACTICE

LATE CANCELLATION / FAILED TO ATTEND POLICY

At Foggo Dental Practice we strive to deliver the best treatment to our patients at all times. Part of this is ensuring patients are not waiting longer than necessary to be seen by their dentist. Unfortunately we have recently seen a high number of patients failing to attend and cancelling appointments at the last minute which does not allow us enough time to re-allocate the appointment. Both these situations increases the waiting times for appointments and does not allow us to deliver the best care for our patients.

A text message will be sent to the number you provided 48 hours prior to your appointment to remind you of your up and coming appointment. If you are unable to attend your appointment we will require you to give us at least 36 hours notice. By giving 36 hours notice this gives us the best opportunity to reallocate the time to another patient which helps to reduce waiting times.

Unfortunately failing to give us 36 hours notice will now result in a cancellation fee which is £1 per minute for the duration of your appointment. Continual late cancellation/failing to attend of appointment may lead to de-registration from the practice.

We appreciate and understand that things can happen in life and the last thing on your mind is to call the practice and cancel your appointment. We will always take exceptional circumstances into consideration. If you feel your reason for late cancellation/failing to attend is valid, please write to us within 7 days outlining the circumstances and provide us with supporting evidence. All cancellation fees must be settled prior to us considering your appeal.

All cases will be treated individually and we will contact you within 28 days to notify you of the outcome. If your appeal is successful, you will receive a full credit.

We thank you for your understanding.
